Compositional Trick #1: Rule of Thrids

Most pictures' emphasis are located in the center, often times these pictures are just "snap-shots". The Rule of Thirds is used as a way to place the emphasis of the photograph in either four corners created by 2 parallel vertical and 2 parallel horizontal lines intersecting to form "a tic-tack-toe"; therefore, the focal point is not placed in the middle and the picture looks more artistic. In the case of this picture the emphasis is the small jewelery flower and the pods of beans on the ground serve as the background.
